SIGNED AGREEMENT FOR PREMARITAL COUNSELING
Our Goal – Most couples plan more for their wedding ceremony than their marriage. Therefore, we emphasize and make pre-marriage preparation a requirement to give our couples the best opportunity for a healthy marriage and to drastically reduce a couple’s chances for divorce. We prepare couples for the reality that marriage is work and to understand that disappointment is inevitable. Teaching them what to expect in the months and years ahead will open their eyes to be aware of the realities of marriage and will build the kind of relationship that will stand strong in every season. Biblical Marriage – Marriage was created by God and is only successful when it honors His plan and includes His presence. Genesis 2:24-25: Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. This is God's original design for marriage and why our approach to marriage is biblically based. Marriage is wonderful and fulfilling when it is God-centered as God designed. There are Four Laws of Marriage found in Genesis 2 that will become the foundation of your marriage: The Law of Priority - "Therefore a man shall leave..." The Law of Pursuit - "and be joined to his wife..." The Law of Possession - "and they shall become one flesh." The Law of Purity - "They were both naked and unashamed." Other areas we will cover are: Understanding and Meeting One Another's Needs The Power of Communication Confidentiality – Confidentiality is an important aspect of the counseling process, and we will carefully guard the information you entrust to us.
